Responsibilities
  • * Assist residents with daily activities, promoting independence and well-being.
  • * May need to provide personal care, including bathing, dressing and medication assistance (client dependent)
  • * Assist with medication management by reminding seniors to take prescribed medications at scheduled times.
  • * Foster a supportive and respectful environment for residents.
  • * Observe and report changes in the senior's health or behavior to the relevant healthcare professionals or family members.
  • * Provide assistance with transportation to medical appointments, grocery shopping, and other essential errands.
  • * Communicate effectively with seniors, their families, and healthcare professionals to ensure a coordinated and comprehensive approach to care.
  • * Respect the dignity and privacy of seniors, maintaining a compassionate and person-centered approach to care.
Qualifications
  • 1. High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • 2. Previous experience in caregiving or a related field is often preferred.
  • 3. Training in CPR and basic first aid may be required.
  • 4. Compassion, empathy, and patience are essential qualities.
  • 5. Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • 6. Prior experience in caregiving or healthcare roles is advantageous but not always required for entry-level positions.
  • 7. Mandatory completion of the Care Certificate or equivalent training as outlined by the UK Care Quality Commission.
  • 8. Basic training in first aid, manual handling, and safeguarding adults is essential.
  • 9. Strong communication, teamwork, and interpersonal skills are crucial for effective care delivery.
  • 10. A compassionate, empathetic, and patient approach, with the ability to respect individuals' dignity and cultural preferences.
  • 11. Eligibility to work in the UK and adherence to enhanced DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) checks.
